We endeavor to live out the truth, that people are the most important thing we encounter on planet earth, because people last forever. CHRISTMAS MISSIONARY OFFERING
The Misisons Committee will be taking a Christmas offering for our supported misisonary families again this year. One of the committee members will be holding a gift wrapped box outside the sanctuary following each worship service on November 30.

Offering Envelopes for 2009
If you would like to have an offering envelope number for 2009 contact the church office. The only way your giving is recorded for receipt purposes is through the envelope system. If you have a number and do not wish to receive a number in 2009 contact the office.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING OPPORTUNITIES
You may choose to carol with an intergenerational group or in groups being formed within Sunday school classes. Classes will choose their own date, time and  plans. The intergenerational caroling will take place Sunday night, December 14, 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., followed by further singing and refreshments in the fellowship hall. Sign up for the intergenerational group at the Welcome Center .

COLD WEATHER DROP-IN CENTER MINISTRY TEAM
The Cold Weather Drop-in Center is a ministry of the churches of the Chambersburg area. That means it's a ministry of our church. The center serves up to 20 people each night during the hours 7 p.m. - 7 a.m., December - March. Churches bring meals, and volunteers intereact with the clients.
Last year 17 folks from C-burg BIC shared in the Drop-in Center Ministry Team. You can also help by preparing a meal.

Volunteer schedules are as follows:
7:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m.: 3 volunteers
10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.: 2 volunteers
5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m.: 2 volunteers
